No vehicle is complete without a set of fine looking TIRES . Keeping them cleaned and applying tire dressing is a challenge and no less important than any other area of your car.

Tires are made with all sorts of protective ingredients that fight environmental attacks to the rubber. These products will come to the surface and cause your tires to have a gray to a rusty brown look.

Ozone in the air can also break down the rubber and cause superficial cracks. Along with road dirt and accumulated brake dust it doesn't trade long before your tires look terrible.

Today, a variety of Tire Cleaners, Tire Wipes and Tire Dressing exist. Make sure that the one you use is PH neutral. A neutral PH factor is 7 and you can compare this to plain water. Most substances have a pH in the range 0 to 14. The lower the PH factor is from a neutral 7 the more acid is in the product. The higher the PH factor is from a neutral 7 the more Base is in the product. Examples of products with a higher concentration of base is plan salt water, hand soap, household ammonia and bleach.

Most tire detailing products fall into three classes, the most popular is a cleaner/polisher. Many of these products are a spray on and wipe off which will restore your tires in a simple step. However, we prefer to us a separate cleaner and dressing.

Cleaning Black Tires

First wash your tires with any good car wash and let dry. This will remove loose dirt and brake dust. Then use Eagle One All Wheel and Tire Cleaner. Just spray on liberally only on tire side walls. Let first coat sit for a couple of minutes then apply a second coat and and scrub the side walls with a nylon or brass bristle brush.
