So take precautions to cover up electrical components and limit damage to the environment. Because some degreasers are caustic (high PH) you should wear safety glasses and chemical resistant gloves.

The best place to degrease your vehicle is at a manual car wash that has a regulated designated area for degreasing engines. You can then use the degreaser of your choice and have the added benefit of a high pressure hot water system.
